Sendlinger Augustiner in Munich

Clocky, not too chic shop, the dearest staff, and full of Sendlinger locals ?

Just a classical „Augustiner“ in Munich with most likely the highest food quality of all. Innovative in a classical environment - to be recommended to everyone who wants to experience truly Bavarian cuisine and atmosphere!

We got dinner here for home tonight and it was amazingly delicious. The two of us shared the three kinds of dumplings as a starter and the crispy chicken burger as the main course and the Sendlinger burger once. I noticed that the chicken for the chicken burger was freshly pounded and breaded, so you get freshly prepared, delicious food that you can taste. It's a shame that we discovered you so late, we'll definitely be back.

Picked up dinner there today. Onion roast, 1/2 duck and Kaiserschmarren and soup. The duck was excellent! Couldn't have been better. The Kaiserschmarren was also excellent at home and tasted great (despite transport, etc.). Great. Onion roast was also good, but unfortunately a bit too well done for medium. But also very good in taste. Suggestion for improvement: a lid would be excellent for the soup ? aluminum foil does not leak tight here

One star deduction for a few minor details. For example, I don't like it when I am asked when I order a meal if I would like a small salad with it without any indication of the price. But the onion roast was good, if not perfect, and the service was very friendly.

Very good service, thank you Sandra. Food was good overall. Roast pork very good. Onion roast beef good, too much spaetzle, a bit of vegetables wouldn't be bad either.

Was there today with a former colleague. Clean, cared for, it tastes good and is plentiful. Good P / L. Will come back. A sixth star for the super nice and friendly service. The sun shines in the restaurant in the evening. Thomas

Very nice service, always new dishes on the menu, large portions. Solid, Bavarian inn in the middle of Sendling. It was a pleasure.

We visited here Thursday 8th October 2020. It's a smaller than some of the big beer halls in town, however it's still a reasonable sized place that occupies a corner plot where Daiserstrasse and Alramstrasse meet. If you were in the centre *btw let's consider the centre as Marianplatz, then it's about 50 minutes by foot or 23 minutes and 4 stops on the U3/U6 get off at Implerstrasse and it's a 400-500metre walk from there. It's an Augustiner place so the beer is decent in particular I would recommend the Edelstoff. It's a nice looking building from the outside, it was dark when we visited but it looked a peachy colour with Augustiner livery. Inside its simple and adopts the classic wooden appearance with a tiled floor, the occasional mural and a creamy/light beige colour. We liked the dividers/partitions between tables which looked wooden but were in fact a solid foam like construction, really good, lightweight and offering better social distancing in these COVID-19 times. Staff were friendly and service pretty quick. We had a beer and a meal, I suspect that they would be quite happy if you just wanted a beer, there were plenty of tables and a few stools at the bar. The food was good, we had a classic burger and fries and a Roast Pork with Potato Dumplings, both good. We liked it here, prices were fair and it seems like a popular place.

Incredibly nice and attentive waitress, incredibly good food! While other Bavarian restaurants (especially in Munich) look nice on the outside, but are actually only looking for mass processing, the Sendlinger Augustiner proves that there is another way. :) As locals from Munich who have tried countless Bavarian restaurants but have never been 100% convinced, we can now say that we have found our favorite Bavarian restaurant in Munich. It was also very hygienic, there are partitions between the tables and disinfectant for the hands and our dog was also very welcome. From now on we come more often!

Really nice food

Awesome taste absolutely Perfect Dine!

My girlfriend and I went there for lunch. We really enjoyed sitting outside. The food and drink are good to very good. The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The price / performance ratio fits very well. I can recommend grandma’s food. Always happy!

Oktoberfest beer is served from the bottle for € 4.40. Allegedly, the brewery does not fill the barrel. That's not true! Not again

Delicious food, friendly staff

Burger wasn't seasoned and the meat was too soft. We had to wait twenty minutes for our table to be cleared and wiped. You can still use arrows in the ambience.

Great Food!

You can sit outside the restaurant at the Sendlinger Augustiner on a mild late summer evening. Road traffic is minimal on this corner. The prices for a main course can be described as reasonable. Recommendable: Munich boiled beef with horseradish sauce with boiled potatoes ...

Good Bavarian cuisine. You can sit outside on the sidewalk and inside as well. Cozy! The waitress is very friendly.

Tip top! We were there last night and are completely satisfied and fed up again. A nice shop with great food, delicious, well-chilled beer and very friendly service, which despite its full house and a lot of work did not lose its good mood. All in all a nice evening. Thank you! We will be back :)

Be forewarned, this place is often full. For good reason: the food is good, solid Bavarian fare, and well made, and the Augustiner beer is smooth and delicious.

Fantastic bar man, great beer, lovely atmosphere!

I’ve tried quite a few schnitzels and I can say this is the best I’ve ever had! It’s a schnitzel that’s made with veal. The veal schnitzels that I’ve tried before were usually a little bit hard, but this one was so tender!! It’s cooked perfectly!! I also love the breading which was seasoned very well and most importantly it didn’t fall off like all the other schnitzels I’ve had before. The roasted potatoes were fantastic too. Crunchy outside and soft inside! I must come back again!

Average, food not special unfortunately, asparagus cream soup salty, main course so so, Kaiserschmarrn much too dry and hard, beers lukewarm, a pity as it could with a little effort be so much better, service was good

Best Bavarian restaurant!

Used to be a frequent guest due to the good location and nice outdoor seating area. However, after repeatedly rude and unfriendly behaviour from one of the waitresses our group of friends have decided to spend our money elsewhere.

The Manager got us a table when he didn't have to, the food and drink was superb, I will base future trips on being nearby so I can return!
